About Structure: Spark is a short and stocky Labrador Retriever that measures approximately 20 inches tall. She is known for her blocky head and framing ears. She is bred to AKC standard and carries great bloodlines as well as proven natural retrieve drive. Spark is in great health, with a clean wellness check, closely monitored weight, and routine care and grooming. She is maturing beautifully and continues to gather compliments everywhere we are seen.
About Temperament: Spark loves to please and work. She is happiest with something in her mouth to carry and loves to play. She is great around other dogs of all ages and enjoys meeting new people when off-duty. She is friendly, has a kind and smart eye, and adorable wiggly butt and tail. She is expressive and enjoys connecting with her handler via eye contact. Spark has been evaluated by a third-party as a great prospect for Service Dog work. Spark can be soft-hearted if harshly corrected, we recommend a gentle handler that also does positive training styles.
About Training Style: Spark has been started with positive reinforcement training since she was a 9-week-old puppy and is super easy to redirect. She has an amazing position awareness when asked to heel that leads to a nice, loose leash and control with stopping and turning. She is always checking in and watching her handler to make sure she is always correct and doing a good job, she LOVES to please. Spark has been traveled to shows, fairs, shopping malls, grocery stores, farm stores, and farmers markets. She has encountered other working dogs while on the job and always does amazing with ignoring them. Spark has been Brittany’s training demo dog for her pet training clients since April 2025 and travels to their homes to work along-side client dogs. Spark earned her Rally Novice title when she was 7 months old with scores in the 90s/100 and placed along dogs much more experienced than her. Spark has only been introduced to a normal buckle collar and leash and a slip lead.
